Md Firoz graduated BA in Sociology from Aligarh
Muslim University, Aligarh, and subsequently completed his MA
M.Phil and Ph D in Sociology (Media), at the School of Social
Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
He is currently teaching students of Master
of Arts in Mass Communication (Centre for Studies in Mass Communication,
Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism) and
teaching Media and Communication as Visiting Faculty (evening
& week-days) at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication and
other leading institutions in New Delhi.
His publications include Country (Media)
Profile, Support to the Cross-Boundary Media Initiatives in
South Asia-Promoting Peace and Stability, Nordic Consulting
Group, Denmark (project funded by UNDP.)
As Research Associate for the Media South
Asia Project, he prepared a Country Profile of the Broadcast
media in India and conducted or participated in interviews with
leading media practitioners and observers in New Delhi.
